Hackathons - test your skills - get a decent job in 2026
A developer in a department working on AI, Data science, Platform engineering , in a well known company having a good career progression , told me these Hackathos were useful. Also some upcoming ones are given. You can check the organizers and participate in coming months/ years. It doesn't matter if your project wins or not, what matters is that you learn to - build a product, product management, MVP requirements.

AI Verse Hackathon. It is Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham’s month‑long national AI competition.

NxtWave’s Idea to Impact Hackathon.
- Event held on 2–4 August 2026 at Kapil Kavuri Hub, Nanakramguda, Hyderabad.
- Over 250 students from 15 states participated.
- 90 AI-powered MVPs were built in areas like healthcare, agriculture, governance, logistics, and software.
- Winners:
- First prize: NalaWatch – AI flood intelligence platform.
- Second prize: Project DNA – AI knowledge management system.
- Third prize: NyayaPriority – AI judicial case prioritisation tool.
- Prize pool was ₹1,00,000.
- Tech stack included Google Gemini, Llama, Claude, LangChain, and Hugging Face.
This hackathon focused on solving real-world problems with AI and gave participants exposure to cutting-edge tools and industry mentors.
